It’s been 20 days already!?
Well, development has been great… been working a lot of long hours, but it’s a lot of fun…
What have we been up to? Well, general improvements and more of everything, really… I’ve been keeping my twitter busy with updates, but again, it’s the old choice between doing more development or blogging
We have new planets:
Desert planet has also a new enemy type (sound sensitive sandworms – I never said this game was original!).
Alien planet has glass clouds and other environmental nasty stuff!
I’ve also added the dark planets: planets where there’s no light, so you have to use a flashlight!
Of course, these are the more visual stuff, there’s been a lot of work behind the scenes, and I’ve started writing the story as well (it started really simple, but it’s getting better and better!)
Now, I’m going around working on something that was being considered for a long time, because of the aditional development effort: enemy bases!
I’ve decided to make them, since they add a different flavor to a part of the game, which breaks from the repetitiveness of shooting enemies, moving, shooting enemies, etc…
Here’s some samples of randomly generated bases for your viewing pleasure:
Ignore the textures, of course!
I’ve started also to add some new traps to it:
There’s still a ton of work to be done on the bases (and everything else, this game is becoming much larger than it should), but every week I’m getting closer and closer to being “code complete”)…
